En Chile, este sistema se aplica para las elecciones de <b data-path-to-node=\"0\" data-index-in-node=\"173\">diputados, senadores, cores y concejales<\/b>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"1\">Aqu\u00ed te explico paso a paso c\u00f3mo funciona su l\u00f3gica de aplicaci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"2\">1. El Voto por Lista<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">En las elecciones chilenas, no solo votas por un candidato, sino que tu voto tambi\u00e9n suma al total de la <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"105\">lista o pacto<\/b> al que pertenece ese candidato. El sistema D&#8217;Hondt primero determina cu\u00e1ntos esca\u00f1os le corresponden a cada lista.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"4\">2. El C\u00e1lculo Matem\u00e1tico<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">Para repartir los esca\u00f1os disponibles en un distrito (por ejemplo, si se eligen 3 diputados), se realizan los siguientes pasos:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" data-path-to-node=\"6\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Suma de votos:<\/b> Se cuentan los votos totales obtenidos por cada lista.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Divisiones sucesivas:<\/b> El total de votos de cada lista se divide por 1, luego por 2, por 3, y as\u00ed sucesivamente hasta el n\u00famero de cargos que se van a elegir.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Selecci\u00f3n de promedios:<\/b> Se toman los resultados de todas estas divisiones y se ordenan de mayor a menor. Los n\u00fameros m\u00e1s altos (llamados \u00abcocientes\u00bb) determinar\u00e1n qui\u00e9n se queda con los esca\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"7\">3.
